Roads in China

The Roads we have been on in China have mainly been 2 , 3 & 4 lane expressways and are very good apart from the driving. No indication, white line riding and lack of use of mirror rife but surprisingly we have not seen any major accidents yet. May be because, while the speed on expressway is 100 very hard to achieve with levels of traffic. On the way back from Panda's we took a country road to go to an ACFM (another Chinese F@%$ing Market) and got a look at a secondary road that has been hammered by overloaded speeding trucks , most uncomfortable road I have every been on. All concrete and about a meter off ground in low-lying farmland and no edge barrier so if a truck pushes you off you have quite a fall.

The other thing is pedestrian crossings in cities, even with a red light for car and green hand for pedestrians the buses and taxis don't stop you have to play chicken with them and time you cross between them. The Italians andVietnamese have nothing on these idiots
